Is your resume
ATS friendly?

Applicant tracking systems do not see your layout. They see whatever text they can scrape out of the file. This shows you that text, next to your actual resume, so you can see where it goes wrong.

Check your own

Twelve checks run against the geometry of your file — where the text sits, not just what it says. That is the only way to catch a reading-order problem.

PDF only. It is read in this browser tab and never sent anywhere.

What gets checked

Each one maps to a field an applicant tracking system is trying to fill in, and to a specific way résumés fail to fill it.

Privacy

Your resume stays on your machine

A resume holds your full name, address, phone number, and employment history. Most checkers ask you to hand all of that over, then email you a report.

This one reads the file in your browser using the same PDF engine Firefox ships with. There is no upload endpoint, no database, and no analytics on the contents of your file. Load the page, turn off your wi-fi, and the check still runs.

Common questions

What does ATS friendly actually mean?
It means an applicant tracking system can pull the right text out of your file and file it under the right heading. It is a question about your layout and your file, not about your wording. A resume is ATS friendly when the text a parser extracts matches the text a person reads on screen.
Do applicant tracking systems reject resumes automatically?
Almost never on formatting alone. What happens instead is quieter and worse: your details get parsed into the wrong fields, or dropped, so a recruiter searching for your skills never sees you. You are not rejected — you are invisible.
Is a PDF or a Word document better for an ATS?
A text-based PDF is read correctly by every mainstream system in use today. The format is rarely the problem. A two-column layout, a table, or a resume exported as an image will break the parse in either format.
Does my resume get uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read by JavaScript running in this browser tab. There is no server to send it to, no account, and nothing stored. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the check still works.
Why does my resume score low when it looks good?
Because looking good and parsing well pull in opposite directions. Sidebars, icons, skill bars, and tables are the tools that make a resume attractive, and each one is a place a parser loses text.
